AllergyIntolerance resource - question on recordedDate and onset[x]
Please clarify the difference between recordedDate and onset[x]. How will it be different? Can you please provide use cases where this could be different?
onset[x] is when the allergy was known/believed to have started. E.g. “I’ve been allergic to bee stings since I was 10”. recordedDate is when the information was actually captured into the patient’s health-record (which could be years or even decades later). If the two differ, it should always be because the onset[x] occurs prior to the recordedDate.
