Hello, I am wondering if there would be any complimentary APIs available for providing further information related to FHIR resources such as Conditions, Procedures and so on. I am interested especially in plain-language description of specific conditions or symptoms for patient education.
Can you explain what you mean by “complementary APIs”? Are you looking for an API to retrieve education material about a Condition? If so, you might be interested in the proposed ConditionDefinition resource in R5. (https://build.fhir.org/conditiondefinition)
It doesn’t yet specifically have references to educational material, but that seems like an appropriate enhancement to propose.
