Estimated Discharge Date in Encounter resource

I am looking at the encounter resource for inpatient events. If I have an admission with a provisional discharge date - how should I represent it.

So, the encounter status would be “arrived” or “inprogress”, and the class “inpatient”. If I populate the period within the encounter with the start date being the admission date, and the end date being the “estimated discharge date”, how would this work if I have leave encounters as well?

I want to be able to show this estimated discharge date for the admission encounter.

I asked a similar question via GF#7873 and the response included “The period that is allocated to the Encounter may be used to describe future/expected end dates…The period on the status History is explicitly actuals, so future values should not be present in this period.”
