Social history value set reference

Hi,

I am new to FHIR. I would like to know where do I get the value set for Social history. Is there one source of information for the social history type (eg: smoking status, Fears/phobia), value (daily smoker, claustrophobia)?

There is no ‘standard’ value set for “Social history”. I don’t think there’s even widespread agreement throughout the world about what should fall within that category. There also isn’t global agreement on what terminologies to use for Observations - though HL7 does mandate the use of LOINC for a limited set of vital sign observations. There are profiles in some country-specific IGs that set expectations for certain types of social history observations. For example, the US Core IG has a profile for smoking history that draws on LOINC for code and SNOMED for value.
